For 9 months of 2019, the exports of agricultural products from Ukraine increased by 2.8 bln USD, or up 21.5% compared with the same period last season, and totaled 15.7 bln USD, declared the former interim Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Olga Trofimtseva, on November 11.
According to her, in the reporting period Ukraine supplied 41.4% of the general agricultural exports at the sum of 6.5 bln USD to Asian countries. The Share of the EU countries totaled 33.9%, or 5.3 bln USD. African countries received 15.2% of the general supplies of Ukrainian agricultural products, at the sum of 2.4 bln USD. While the CIS countries received just 6.6% at 1.04 bln USD, and the USA — 0.4%, at 66.4 mln USD.
According to her, next year will be more difficult for the agro-industrial sector of Ukraine. The industry should consolidate the efforts, in order professionally realize the export strategy in all destinations, including the African one.
