As of October 21, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 44.2 mln ha (in 2018 — 43.4 mln ha), or 94.5% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 119.7 mln tonnes of grains (in 2018 — 111.8 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.71 t/ha (in 2018 — 2.57 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested 77.4 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 27.4 mln ha (97.8%), with the yield of 2.82 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 21.4 mln tonnes of barley throughout 8.5 mln ha (96.3%), with the yield of 2.53 t/ha.
Russian agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 1.5 mln ha, or 57.8% of the forecast. The production volumes totaled 8.8 mln tonnes, with the yield of 5.91 t/ha. Also, agrarians continued harvesting rice: the production volumes reached 1.1 mln tonnes, the harvested areas — 162.7 thsd ha (83.8%), and the average yield totaled 6.88 t/ha.
At the same time, agrarians already harvested sunflower seed throughout 6.1 mln ha (71.9%), and produced 11.6 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield at 1.89 t/ha.
Agrarians continued harvesting rapeseed, and as of October 21 the areas reached 1.4 mln ha (86.6%). The production volumes reached 2.1 mln tonnes, with the yield of 1.57 t/ha.
In addition, Russia harvested soybeans throughout 2.2 mln ha (71%), and produced 3.8 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.75 t/ha.
At the same time, Russian agrarians harvested 36.2 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 804.4 thsd ha (70.3%), with the yield of 40.53 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2020 throughout 17.4 mln ha, or 99.3% of the forecast.
