As of October 21, all categories of agricultural households in Ukraine already harvested 58.9 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 13.1 mln ha, or 86% of the forecast. The average yield totaled 4.5 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, Ukraine harvested 19.1 mln tonnes of corn throughout 2.9 mln ha (58%), with the average yield of 6.63 t/ha; 85 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 64 thsd ha (95%), with the yield of 1.33 t/ha; and 151 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 80 thsd ha (90%), with the yield of 1.88 t/ha.
Also, agrarians harvested 13.3 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout the areas of 5.5 mln ha (94%), with the yield of 2.43 t/ha. At the same time, the production of soybeans reached 3.3 mln tonnes, with the areas of 1.4 mln ha (90%), and the yield of 2.33 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, Ukraine continued harvesting sugar beet, which areas already totaled 137 thsd ha, or 62% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 6 mln tonnes, with the yield of 43.7 t/ha.
In addition, Ukraine planted winter grains throughout the areas of 6.4 mln ha, or 88% of the forecast. In particular, the areas under winter wheat totaled 5.5 mln ha (88% of the forecast), winter rye — 113 thsd ha (93%), and winter barley — 777 thsd ha (85%).
In addition, Ukrainian agrarians planted winter rapeseed throughout 1.1 mln ha, or 99% of the plan.
