In January-August of 2019, the foreign trade deficit in goods in Ukraine reached 5.84 bln USD, as opposed to 5 bln USD in the same period last year, reported the State Statistics Service.
In particular, for 8 months the exports of commodities from Ukraine totaled 33 bln USD, up 6.9% compared with the same period of 2018. The import volumes of goods to Ukraine totaled 38.87 bln USD, up 8.2%.
It should be noted that the export-import coverage ratio totaled 0.85 (in January-August of 2018 — 0.86). Ukraine provided foreign trade operations with partners from 219 countries.
