Russia: Ministry of Agriculture reduced the forecast of wheat production




The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reduced the forecast of wheat harvest in the country in the current year from the previously expected level of 78 mln tonnes in clean weight, to 75 mln tonnes, declared the Head of the Department of plant growing at the Ministry of Agriculture, Roman Nekrasov, on November 28.

At the same time, the forecast of the general harvest of Russian grains in 2019 remained at the same level — 120 mln tonnes, up 6.7 mln tonnes compared with the last year figures.

As for other grain crops, the Ministry of Agriculture expected for formation of the harvest of barley in 2019 at the level of 20.3 mln tonnes, and corn — 13 mln tonnes.
