Rusagrotrans increased the forecast of the general harvest in Russia




The analytical center of Rusagrotrans JSC increased its forecast of the general grain harvest in Russia in 2019 to 121.5 mln tonnes, an increase of 0.4 mln tonnes compared with the previous estimations of the experts, declared the Head of the analytical center at Rusagrotrans JSC, Igor Pavensky, on November 12.

According to him, the forecast increased, due to the higher grain yield compared with last year (especially, barley) at the final stages of the harvesting campaign.

Taking into account the reporting factor, the updated forecast of barley production totals 20.6 mln tonnes (up 0.2 mln tonnes compared with the previous estimations), wheat — 75.5 mln tonnes (up 0.1 mln tonnes), and corn — 13.9 mln tonnes (up 0.1 mln tonnes).

Also, I.Pavensky added that the North Caucasian, Central, Ural and Siberian Federal Districts increased their figures of the general grain harvest in the current year.
