Belarusian agrarians reached the final stages of the harvesting works of corn and sugar beet, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, on November 4.
As of the reporting date, Belarus almost completed the mass harvesting campaign of grains and pulses. Agrarians harvested 7.862 mln tonnes of grains throughout 2.279 mln ha (99.4% of the planned areas), with the average yield of 3.45 t/ha. In particular, agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 174.5 thsd ha (92.7%). The production reached 1.327 mln tonnes, with the yield of 7.61 t/ha.
In addition, agrarians harvested 4.412 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 87.3 thsd ha (93.7%). The average yield totaled 50.3 t/ha (up 3.2 t/ha compared with the last year level).
Also, the country already finished the harvesting campaign of rapeseed. Agrarians harvested 687 thsd tonnes of the oilseed (up 25% compared with 2018), with the yield of 2.03 t/ha.
