As of October 28, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 44.5 mln ha (in 2018 — 43.7 mln ha), or 95.1% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 121.5 mln tonnes of grains (in 2018 — 113.1 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.73 t/ha (in 2018 — 2.59 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested 77.5 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 27.5 mln ha (97.9%), with the yield of 2.82 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 21.5 mln tonnes of barley throughout 8.5 mln ha (96.5%), with the yield of 2.53 t/ha.
Russian agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 1.7 mln ha, or 67% of the forecast. The production volumes totaled 10.3 mln tonnes, with the yield of 5.95 t/ha. Also, agrarians continued harvesting rice: the production volumes reached 1.16 mln tonnes, the harvested areas — 172.8 thsd ha (89%), and the average yield totaled 6.74 t/ha.
At the same time, agrarians already harvested sunflower seed throughout 6.9 mln ha (81.7%), and produced 12.9 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield at 1.86 t/ha.
Agrarians continued harvesting rapeseed, and as of October 28 the areas reached 1.4 mln ha (88.6%). The production volumes reached 2.2 mln tonnes, with the yield of 1.57 t/ha.
In addition, Russia harvested soybeans throughout 2.3 mln ha (77.5%), and produced 4 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.71 t/ha.
At the same time, Russian agrarians harvested 42.2 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 924.4 thsd ha (80.7%), with the yield of 45.62 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2020 throughout 17.8 mln ha, or 101.6% of the forecast (in 2018 — 17.5 mln ha).
