As of October 1, Kyrgyzstan almost completed the harvesting campaign of grain crops — 444.2 thsd ha, or 99.5% of the plan, declared the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Melioration of the Kyrgyz Republic, on October 25.
As of the beginning of October, the general harvest of grains totaled 1.795 mln tonnes in bunker weight, up 157.9 thsd tonnes compared with the last year level. The average yield of spiked grain crops in the country totaled 4.04 t/ha (up 1.1 t/ha).
In particular, agrarians harvested wheat throughout 239.8 thsd ha, or 99.9 % of the forecast. The production volumes reached 646.6 thsd tonnes, with the average yield of 2.7 t/ha. Also, agrarians harvested 500 thsd tonnes of barley throughout 204.4 thsd ha (99%), with the yield of 2.45 t/ha.
In addition, Kyrgyzstan harvested pulses throughout 41.9 thsd ha, or 67.3 % of the planned areas. The production volumes totaled 78.1 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.87 t/ha.
At the same time, as of October 1 agrarians harvested oilseeds throughout 23.9 thsd ha (92%). The production totaled 30.2 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 1.27 t/ha.
