As of October 11, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 14.9 mln ha, against 14.51 mln ha on the same date last year, which reached 97.6% of the plan (15.263 mln ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, the production volumes of grains totaled 18.528 mln tonnes (in 2018 — 21.059 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 1.24 t/ha (1.45 t/ha).
In particular, two oblasts of the country already harvested over 4 mln tonnes of grains each: North Kazakhstan oblast harvested 4.675 mln tonnes of grains throughout 97.3% of the planned areas, and Akmola oblast — 4.581 mln tonnes (95.1%). Another two oblasts harvested over 1 mln tonnes of grains each: Almaty oblast harvested 1.069 mln tonnes of grains (88.3%), and Kostanay oblast — 2.947 mln tonnes (the harvesting works completed).
At the same time, six oblasts of the country already completed the harvesting campaign: East Kazakhstan oblast harvested 934.1 thsd tonnes of grains, Karaganda oblast — 867.3 thsd tonnes, Pavlodar oblast — 822.8 thsd tonnes, Kyzylorda oblast — 548.9 thsd tonnes, Aktobe oblast — 379.9 thsd tonnes, and West Kazakhstan oblast — 249 thsd tonnes.
In addition, the other oblasts still have to harvest grains throughout the range of 1.6% (Turkistan oblast) to 11.7% (Almaty oblast) of the remaining areas.
