As of October 7, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 42.8 mln ha (in 2018 — 41.4 mln ha), or 91.4% of the forecast. The production volumes reached 114.5 mln tonnes of grains (in 2018 — 105.5 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.68 t/ha (in 2018 — 2.55 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on October 8.
In particular, agrarians harvested 76.3 mln tonnes of wheat throughout 26.9 mln ha (95.9%), with the yield of 2.84 t/ha. Also, Russia harvested 21.2 mln tonnes of barley throughout 8.4 mln ha (95.2%), with the yield of 2.53 t/ha.
Russian agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 1 mln ha, or 39.1% of the forecast. The production volumes totaled 5.6 mln tonnes, with the yield of 5.52 t/ha. Agrarians continued harvesting rice, and already produced 748 thsd tonnes of the grain. The harvested areas reached 112.2 thsd ha (57.8%), with the yield at 6.67 t/ha.
At the same time, agrarians already harvested sunflower seed throughout 4 mln ha (46.7%), and produced 8.2 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the average yield at 2.07 t/ha.
Agrarians continued harvesting rapeseed, and as of October 7 the areas reached 1.2 mln ha (74%). The production volumes reached 1.9 mln tonnes, with the yield of 1.67 t/ha.
In addition, Russia harvested soybeans throughout 1.6 mln ha (52%), and produced 2.9 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.87 t/ha.
At the same time, Russian agrarians harvested 25.8 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 583 thsd ha (50.9%), with the yield of 44.2 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2020 throughout 14.5 mln ha, or 83.1% of the forecast.
