As of October 8, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 14.276 mln ha, against 14.49 mln ha on the same date last year, which reached 93.5% of the plan (15.263 mln ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, the production volumes of grains totaled 17.067 mln tonnes (in 2018 — 20.466 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 1.2 t/ha (1.41 t/ha).
In particular, two oblasts of the country already harvested over 4 mln tonnes of grains each: Akmola oblast harvested 4.226 mln tonnes of grains throughout 91.9% of the planned areas, and North Kazakhstan oblast — 4.101 mln tonnes (90.1%).
At the same time, four oblasts of the country already completed the harvesting campaign: Karaganda oblast harvested 864 thsd tonnes of grains, Pavlodar oblast — 786.8 thsd tonnes, Aktobe oblast — 379.9 thsd tonnes, and West Kazakhstan oblast — 249 thsd tonnes.
In addition, the other oblasts still have to harvest grains throughout the range of 1% (East Kazakhstan oblast) to 13.3% (Almaty oblast) of the remaining areas.
