In Ukraine, nearly 67% of oil-producing enterprises were built more than 10 years ago, and 33% only — less than 10 years ago, which significantly affects the marginality of oilseed processing, and requires the further introduction of new technologies, declared the Head of the holding VEKTOR Company Group, Oleksandr Oleksandrov, during his report within frames of the international conference "Fat-and-Oil Industry - 2019" in Kyiv, on October 30.
Ukraine is the largest exporter of sunflower oil in the world, but it is impossible to keep the first position, without constantly introducing the modern technologies in the production process. According to the polling of fat-and-oil enterprises of Ukraine, 55% of respondents are not satisfied with the mounted technical equipment, and 67% — ready to realize the technical re-equipment, in order to minimize their energy costs. At the same time, 58% of respondents expressed their readiness to move to a new level of production, and only 37% — thought it necessary to deepen the oilseeds processing, the expert stressed.
In addition, the speaker noted that Ukrainian companies should keep track of events of the innovative technologies, reduce the energy costs, and improve the product quality, for a new round in development of the fat-and-oil industry and passing the competition rates.
