According to regional divisions of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), since the beginning of the season-2019/20 (July 1), and as of February 4, Russia already exported 24.1 mln tonnes of wheat (including deliveries to the territory of the Customs Union countries), down 13% compared with the same period last season, reported the Federal State-Funded Institution "Federal Centre of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain products", on February 6.
Also, in the reporting period Russia exported 2.8 mln tonnes of barley (down 20% compared with the same period in 2018/19 MY), 2 mln tonnes of corn (up 30%), 369 thsd tonnes of peas (down 25%), 315 thsd tonnes of chickpeas (up 2 times), and 412 thsd tonnes of wheat bran (down 7%).
In addition, Russia demonstrated the high shipment rates of oilseeds and its by-products. Thus, since the beginning of the season the exports of soybeans increased by 57% — to 772 thsd tonnes, sunflower seed — up 7 times, to 732 thsd tonnes, flaxseed — up 33%, to 387 thsd tonnes, and sunflower meal — up 42%, to 936 thsd tonnes.
Generally, in the reporting period Russia supplied 34.7 mln tonnes of grains, oilseeds and its by-products on foreign markets, down 7% (or 2.8 mln tonnes) compared with the same period last season.
Russia shipped the reporting goods to 131 countries, which almost matched the same figures as of February 4, 2019 (132 countries).
